Tropical WBT Posters

I'm decorating my room this year with a bright colored tropical theme.  So of course I had to make new Whole Brain Teaching posters!

Included:
  • The 5 Rules
  • Class Yes
  • Teach? Ok!
  • The Tickler
  • Switch
  • Mirror
  • Hands and Eyes

I hole punched the strategies and attached them all with a binder ring.  This way, when I am introducing and reading from the back, the students can see the poster on the front for a visual.

The best thing about these posters, is that I also made scripts for how to introduce each rule and strategy.  I made them in a circle outline to fit on the back of these circle tropical posters, but they will also fit on the back of any WBT poster you use.

What theme are you decorating with this year?

    1. I hope these explanations help! Most of them are taken from the book, since I want to try to stick as close to the program as possible.

    1. Hey Brandi,
I'm not sure of the size on the circles. I made them in PowerPoint, and it looks like they are about 7 inches in diameter. They might print out smaller, though, if your printer fits to page. Good luck!

  13. Thank you for making these! I am trying out WBT this year. I was worried that I would forget something. This makes it so much easier to remember everything.

  15. Love the scripts- they will be soooo helpful! (I love the rules posters too, but my principal is fumy about rules vs expectations...sigh....)

    1. So "Expectation 1" would be ok? It's interesting to me that your admin would be insistent on that when there are so many other important things to focus on. To each their own :)

  16. Nicole,
I love these! I just have a question, by any chance is there a way I could get them in an editable version to translate for use in my classroom?

    1. Hi Amanda,
They are not editable at this time. To be honest, it's takes a lot of time to make products editable and most of the time the print quality goes down. I try to share freebies that I make for my class. Sorry about that!

  17. These are great! I have started using WBT this year in my class. It is going okay, but I need to be more consistent with using the scoreboard. I am using the rules and the Class/Yes, Teach/Okay a lot. Now to add the others. Thanks for sharing the scripts. They will help.
I have changed a couple of rules to fit my class better. For rule 1 I have Follow directions quickly and correctly. For rule 3, I have be respectful and caring. I found that raising hands to leave seats was more disruptive for me because it interrupted me when I was working with small groups. I have other ways of them knowing when they can leave their seats that work better.
I realize that making editable cards is time consuming, so I hope that you won't mind if I use some of your ideas to adapt the cards to fit my class. I like the circles and the chalkboard style. I would change up the theme. Thanks.

  18. I know you created this a long time ago. I am very excited to find it and love it. Since you have created it, there have been some updates to the WBT rule 5 and they added a diamond rule. Is there anyway to update these to reflect the changes?
